I stopped by the Avenue Diner while in the area after checking this app for good dining options. The packed parking lot was a promising sign that I was in for a treat. I opted for breakfast for dinner and ordered the meat omelet with home fries and a short stack of French toast. Usually, I consider home fries just a decorative addition to my plate, as I don't particularly like them, but these were exceptional! I visited this restaurant with 16 family members for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was homestyle, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Even though they were busy, the staff remained friendly, smiling, and helpful without appearing overwhelmed. The host even took a family photo for us! This place is a little gem that won't let you down, and the prices are very reasonable too!
I absolutely love the Avenue Diner. My husband and I come here often, usually after morning hikes for breakfast, but sometimes for dinner, as well. You literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The food is solid, their fish and seafood is way better than it needs to be, and their service is awesome, and it's very reasonably priced. I can't recommend them enough.
The service was excellent, and the portions were quite generous. However, I would not recommend the clam chowder; it tasted more like a regular soup and lacked creaminess. Everything else at our table was really delicious, including the gyro, chicken parmesan, burger, and fries. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, making sure to check on us regularly. Great restaurant! We went there for the first time for lunch with a group of 17. The food was fabulous, fresh, prepared as ordered, delicious and fairly priced. The service was excellent and very friendly. The entire restaurant and grounds were very clean and well kept. We liked it here so much that we've been back 3 more times!
My family is from Jersey but currently in TX due to military. THEY DO NOT HAVE SCRAPPLE HERE????. I recently went home to visit and stopped by avenue diner. The waitress was awesome. And I got my scrapple just the way I like it. I would definitely go back!
Decided to try out this place for lunch during the week. We were seated quickly and service was great. Food arrived hot and fresh. We ordered the turkey club and gyro wrap, both were delicious. Loved the vibe, very cozy. Will definitely be back again!
