My first time at Avila's I picked up pork enchiladas in rojo sauce. Got a huge tasty portion (I could have shared it) that came with sides of rice black beans. Whole black beans are more a Oaxacan thing and I prefer Tex Mex style refried pintos but that's just me. The beans were fine. The entree was covered in a very generous portion of avocado so I could have skipped the guacamole and chips (although they were good). I will go back to Avila's again; it is a cut above most Mexican takeout in the area.
My wife and I are from Las Vegas, and she’s Mexican. I’ve been saying for the ten years I’ve lived on the East Coast (and in NYC for 7) that there’s no good Mexican food anywhere here. Until we discovered Avila! Avila is some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever found on the East Coast, hands down. It feels like west coast Mexican food we have missed so much from back home. Delivery is always fast, their prices are super reasonable, and the food is always fantastic. ¡Gracias por existir, Avila!
No frills Mexican eatery. We ordered takeout. Very friendly gentleman on the phone. The guacamole is excellent. I also had the Vegetarian Enchilada and a Chicken Quesadilla. The black beans were probably my least favorite because they didn?t have much flavor, but everything was tasty and prepared in a timely manner. It?s a hole in the wall that you may not notice walking down the street, but if you?re in the mood for some Mexican I would suggest giving this place a try.
I would not recommend getting delivery from this restaurant. They use their own delivery service rather than using popular services like Seamless or Uber, and the last 3 times I've ordered, there have been problems. The first time, my food was extremely late, the second time it never arrived, and the third time it was delivered unusually early and disappeared before I could pick it up. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, they were not helpful at all.

I have gotten delivery from here many times. Some items I like and I usually order. Others I tried but didn't like. In general, this is a good place, so I will continue ordering from here. The steak Tacos and Quesadillas (flour) were good. Also, Guacamole and Elote. The Bistec Encebollado and the Carne Asada were a little dry but had flavor.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, my favorite dish being the tamales. It's the only Mexican restaurant I know that serves chicken tamales. I've only ever ordered through food delivery apps. The only downside is that the nachos are a bit disappointing. The portion sizes are generous and definitely worth the price.
Delicious and excellent delivery! We ordered a bunch of food on a very busy day and received the most delicious birria tacos. The order was packed so well, no issues, delivered hot. Everyone ate every bite. Cant wait to go eat at the restaurant. We will be getting delivery again very soon. Yummy Thank you!
Have lived in West New York for almost 4 years now. Avila's is far and away the best, most reliable meal I order for lunch on Saturday as a treat after a long week. The food is always good, and the Milanesa de Pollo never misses. If you like good Mexican food, you MUST TRY Avilas.

Very reliable delivery, always fast and fresh which is why I?m giving 5 stars. Birria tacos are amazing here, and I?ve always had a good experience with their steak tacos as well. Other dishes I?ve tried were mediocre.
