I often visit A&W alone for their fresh root beer, which I really enjoy. The food on their menu is also quite good! However, my last experience was disappointing due to the unprofessional behavior of the staff. While I understand the importance of feeling comfortable, some level of professionalism is still expected. The employees’ attire was inappropriate even for a fast-food setting—one wore a baggy sweater, another a tank top paired with very short exercise shorts.
During our visit, my mother, husband, and I arrived about twenty minutes before closing, just wanting a small meal before graduation. When ordering, the cashier told us they would close in fifteen minutes and insisted we sit on...
I usually enjoy dining at A&W and even worked at a local A&W for 10 years. However, my wife and I visited this location shortly after 8pm and had a disappointing experience. The waitress was rude, the burgers arrived cold, and the bacon was cold and rubbery—so much so that I almost choked on it. The waitress loudly called out to the dining area, “Are any of you needing a refill? If so, please go to the front.” It felt like she was more concerned with closing the dining area than with customer service. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any A&W, and the quality of the food and the service did not reflect the great menu I usually expect.
We will definitely return! Although the store looked a bit outdated and the drive-thru employee seemed uninterested in providing good customer service, the food was perfectly made and delicious, which is the most important part. The chicken sandwich was juicy and well-seasoned, and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I wouldn't recommend the sweet tea; it wasn’t sweet and tasted stale, which tea drinkers will understand. Overall, a good experience thanks to the quality of the food.
The food was excellent, but the restaurant needs to improve its staff training. When there was a mistake with the change, instead of resolving the issue calmly, the employee raised their voice and blamed the customer, even though a dollar bill had mistakenly been placed in the five-dollar spot. It's clear that the staff could benefit from better training in handling customer interactions.

The root beer was excellent, and I really enjoyed the ice! My only concern was that the burger had toppings I had asked to be removed. I just took them off myself, but since the restaurant was fairly empty, it seemed like it would have been an easy request to accommodate. The service was very friendly, and I would definitely come back to eat here again!
The double bacon cheeseburger at the Jefferson location is excellent. The temperatures of the hot and cold ingredients on this sandwich are perfectly balanced!
A young girl was busy refilling the ketchup, so she couldn't take my order, but an older lady kindly stepped in to help. Thank you! Sometimes we’re in a rush.
The restaurant features a welcoming staff, tasty dishes, and outstanding service, all in a lovely setting. It's a fantastic place for lunch!
