For a variety of reasons I limit my fast food to an occasional indulgence. Today I had a hankerin for good ol A&W. Looking forward to a pre Christmas treat as I was out doing errands. Sadly, my hankerin quickly turned into a regret. I ordered my Uncle Burger which seemed to be exactly what I wanted. My mouth dropped when the cashier rang in the price: I had ordered onion rings in place of fries. I had no clue that the up charge was so significant. Will not do that again. My order came out pretty quickly so I was happy. The onion rings were piping hot for 2 3 minutes then cooled down quickly. The burger, while tasty, was at best, luke warm. I went through the drive-thru at around 4:00 on Tuesday December 6. A young lady took my order which was just onion rings. I had a coupon for an upgrade to onion rings for the price of fries. She told me that it only applies in a combo. This is not true, as I have used this coupon before without any issue. I drive up to the window, and she hands out the debit machine. I tried to explain that I used it before and she responded with ok . At this point I don 't know if she applied a coupon or not as she did not say it. In the end, the price was discounted so she did apply it. She handed out my bag without a word and slammed the window shut without saying anything and walked away from the window...
On July 6, 2023, I just visited the A&W on Lynden Park Road in Brantford. They were offering free root beer today—one per visit. But what really stood out was the wonderful experience I had thanks to an amazing lady I encountered this morning at 9:35. I can't express enough how delightful she was. She was sweet, courteous, and incredibly friendly, truly making my day. Thank you so much, my dear!
The service at A&W is truly commendable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and sincerely dedicated to delivering an outstanding dining experience. They took orders swiftly, and the food was served quickly and beautifully presented. Throughout my meal, they made sure I had everything I needed, and their genuine approach to customer service made me feel appreciated as a guest.

Good stuff. Typically very fast and the food is always tasty. Fries could be better and cheaper but other than that it’s very good. Inflation drove the prices up ALOT through the years. Staff is very friendly and I always enjoy the burgers. Occasionally they make mistakes with the order but that’s just how fast food goes. I Recommend this A&W other other locations.
The restaurant seems to have misrepresented its promotions, or perhaps this location doesn’t honor them. Regardless, I chose not to bring it up with the staff, as I didn’t want to come across as a nuisance. The food was served hot and fresh, and the coffee was good as well. However, based on my experience, I can't recommend this location.
The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. One of the employees laughed while taking our order, which made it seem like she found our confusion amusing. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this location because of the staff. We placed our order at 11:13 PM on September 26, 2023.
The food here is consistently fresh and delicious. They have the best onion rings! The staff at this location is always friendly and accommodating. The drive-thru is quick and efficient. There's ample parking available, and the restaurant is always kept clean.

The prices are high for fast food, and they still have those silly plastic walls up at the entrance, making it hard for anyone to communicate.
