I’m done with this place. Went today and it was pretty slow, maybe 15 people. Sat at the bar and ten minutes went by without being acknowledged. The male bartender had a fixation with this one group and couldn’t bother to serve anyone else. I ordered a flight and was told I could try their hill climb bottle, received the flight, but never got the sample of the hill climb. The lady bartender that showed up after was a sweetheart and gave great customer service, but the one husky bartender interrupted our conversation and said that he suggest for her to start stocking the bar. This is the first time I stiffed on a tip. I suggest staying upstairs and going to the principals office.
My husband and I recently vacationed in Colorado Springs and were fortunate to discover Axe and the Oak Whiskey House. I’m so glad we did! Emily and her team were exceptional. They make an outstanding whiskey sour, and my husband highly recommends the blackberry old fashioned. Don’t overlook the butterscotch liqueur—it’s simply amazing. I wish we lived closer so we could become regulars. Keep up the great work, everyone!
Dillon and Emily were truly exceptional! Out of all the cocktail bars I've visited, this one stands out above the rest. I highly recommend trying the “bartender’s whim” and letting these talented mixologists work their magic. Every single cocktail we enjoyed was a work of art. Excellent service and very knowledgeable staff. I was the designated driver, so I ordered a burger that was cooked medium and absolutely delicious. My friend sampled various whiskeys and ended up buying a bottle! The ambiance was casual, enhanced by candlelight. We had a wonderful evening, and I highly recommend this place to everyone! I traveled from El Paso to Texas and decided to stop by for a drink and to check out their music night. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was spot on. I really enjoyed the music and will definitely return when I visit Springs again in the future.
This is an outstanding whiskey house. Their signature drinks and overall drink menu are exceptional. The waitstaff and bartenders are excellent, and the atmosphere is fantastic too.
