Bacaro is situated in Ocean village and it is a little gem of a place. It is tastefully decorated for a chilled and relaxing time that you will have. There is both a restaurant and bar area and you feel at ease in the place !! Anyway upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile by the happy bar staff which is always lovely I have always loved this place but I would only give a top rating if it deserved it and not through loyalty !! Tonight I had arancini, crayfish linguine and garlic bread, washed down with a lovely glass of house red. I have dined twice in the last week, once solo and once with my wife. It was a Monday evening 7.00pm and the restaurant was quite busy but we got a nice table for two in the corner. The decor is attractive with high ceilings and nice lighting. Cynthia was our server and explained the menu and the Italian style tapas offering of small plates and sharing. You can order all your food or call up dishes to suit your own pace. It is cooked to order and the flavours were beautiful. I loved the Salt and Pepper Squid and the Shrimp and Crayfish Fettuccine. Had a lovely date night at Bacaro, one of our favourite restaurants. The menu has changed since we last visited so we were looking forward to trying the new dishes. We had the olives, hummus with flatbread and beef croquettes (so good we ordered another plate) pork belly, salmon in filo pastry and Parmesan truffle fries, finishing with a brownie and pistachio gelato. The flavours were incredible, as always. Highly recommend The Chamberry cocktail too.
Visited with a friend for a catch up, we were served by Cynthia who was absolutely incredible! She recommended the Arancini Balls and they did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful, with an excellent cocktail menu and the food was next level. We've been back again already! Try the Blood Orange Spritz and the burrata! One of our favourite places in Southampton. Sophie the manager is also so warm and welcoming.

I held my 40th Birthday party at Bacaro and can’t recommend it highly enough. The food, decor and service were outstanding and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. There was more than enough to eat for my 30 guests and lots of my friends commented on how amazing the food was. Sophie the manager was so lovely and helpful and made it a really special event with no stress for me. Highly recommended
We had our wedding celebration at Bacaro. Sophie was amazing as soon as we enquired, helping us design the menu and plan the day. She made sure everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and all our guests commented on how good it was. Couldn’t recommend Bacaro more!
We booked Bacaro for a daytime private event for our company's Christmas party. We worked with Sophie, the manager, to create a Christmas menu and were extremely pleased with the outcome. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all fantastic. We would definitely consider returning. Thank you.
We are so grateful that we chose to stay overnight in Southampton instead of immediately heading home, because we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was top-notch. We absolutely adored it!

Really enjoyed our dinner. Very helpful staff, great atmosphere. Good wine list. The satnav system took us to the rear of the restaurant, so look out for a more accurate address.
I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to return. The roast was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. Our server was delightful and had a cheerful attitude.
