The only thing better than the food was the service. I went in with a friend to celebrate our birthdays. We were waited on by Paige, who was really delightful. We didn't like the table we were first given, but the manager, Brandon, was truly gracious. When it opened up, he moved us to a two top in the corner. It turned out to be the best table in the restaurant. The owner came over and greeted us. He was low key and welcoming. We started with the crab cakes which were very good. We were a party of 4, ranging in age from 10 to 90. We all found something yummy to eat! One of us ordered the scallops, another ordered gnocchi, another ordered the pork, another the steak. We all tried each other's dishes, and they all tasted great. Cozy, eclectic, rustic ambiance with distressed, 100-year-old doors hung on the walls for decoration, wine bottles for light fixtures and even a Dean Martin album displayed on a shelf. Megan, the server, was very nice, very accommodating. I went for the gnocchi and was disappointed. It's pan seared which made it chewy and tough. Maybe it was reheated, not fresh? The beet and Burrata salad was very good. The pork chop was also very good as we're the white fig tart and the flan. I don't feel like I want to go back.
It is one of my cheap restaurant since I was in Christmas eve, new year eve. The varieties of the fixed menu tempt me to try again. Surely it wasn't disappointed and I loved the food. Definitely will return to try it is different menu for special occasions.
Brandon and the staff are so gracious and welcoming. The food is prepared with such attention to detail as well as delicious flavors and methods of cooking. They are also very knowledgeable with wines and are happy to pair with your meal.
Try the oysters (order in advanced), the in-bone pork chop, ceviche, the sea bass or the gnocchi. Best I’ve had in awhile. Great wine list as well. The host is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
My wife and I eat here regularly and food and service are always excellent. This is a real jewel for our neighborhood.
