This is definitely the spot for homecooked food. The red beans were delicious and the cornbread was the real thing !! The ribs were fall off the bone tender with lots of meat. The cole slaw was creamy and the baked beans had just a touch of jalapeño flavor without the heat...excellent!! They also cooked their own pork skins, which were hot and delicious....Set on a beautiful lake, this is a true hidden gem !!! I will definitely be back !! Good food, nice view of the lake from the patio, and the service staff was genuinely friendly. If you're passing by on 75 do yourself a favor and take the extra 3 minutes to drive around the lake to this place. Your meal will be 100 times better than that crummy burger and fries you'd get from a fast food joint at the bottom of the exit ramp. Place was busy, but those gals sure kept up. Food was amazing. You have gotta try the fried cornbread! Ribs were so tender, the meat fell right off and you could even stick your fork into the bone. The view from the backporch is heavenly. The sparkling lake with the trees starting to change colors, a must see!!! The food was great. The meat had a good smokey taste and was tender. It was cooked for perfection. The ribs could have been the best part of it. You're the best ribs I've ever got from a restaurant.
