While strolling along the deck at CAP3000 I was attracted by the name of this café and the sweet décor inside. I ordered a pot of tea and the carrot cake. The tea was just a tea-bag served with a ceramic pot of hot water. I could not get the metal cover off the pot to put the tea-bag in, so had to dunk it in my cup. The flavour (Ladurée Fleur d’Oranger) was nice. The carrot-cake was a lovely flavour – not too sweet. However, there was a problem with the consistency, and it crumbled as soon as I tried to cut then pick up a mouthful with my fork. It was quite difficult to eat. I don’t think the experience lived up to my expectations. I enjoyed sitting outside and watching people walking past.
I love cakes and brownies and cookies. So when I saw this little slice of heaven, I was anxious to try their offerings. Honestly, I should have just saved my 6€ per take-out slice. I understand that cakes need to be refrigerated to look presentable, but I'm not sure if that was the reason their carrot cake and their raspberry-vanilla cake tasted like it was stale from 2 days ago. The carrot cake wasn't carrot-y and the spice balance was off. The raspberry-vanilla cake had just the faintest hint of raspberry, but just enough tartness from the berries. And both cakes were just too heavy and dense. I will say that their chai latte was quite nice, though.
I'm going to test this store during my shopping session, I think it's like “Emilies cookies” and since the badge is the same honestly as I don't recommend it, it's very expensive for what it's not like hints of cookies, and when entering the shop there's a horrible smell of pipe biscuit .. we took a crumble that took the smell of the pipes we couldn't
I went in that shop with my daughter. I had the ginger power smoothie. Fantastic ! There is either lemon or lime in that drink. My daughter had the vanilla cupcake. She enjoyed it.
Food is lovely but service is slow went in to ask if was table service they said yes but I waited 15 mins to order ! However food was quick and delicous !
