Stein Am Rhein hard to say that I have to catch train to go back to hotel. Probably one of the beautiful place. And after trekking short one for castle we cane back to down and stopped here to relax but luckily it turn out...to be one more unexpected stoppage. Fantastic staff Christine and Ugastine very helpful. The kind of hospitality it was added with fantastic Indian food even though less choice of food but it was worth. Christine especially requested for a proper food as per Indian taste and I have to say one of the best I had till now. Many thanks Christine and Ugastine(I hope I spelled the name right). Das Restaurant ist sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Der Außenbereich erstreckt sich auf zwei Seiten, eine davon ist vollständig für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich, die andere ist eine kleine und ruhige Nische mit ein paar Tischen, die von der Straße aus erreicht werden kann, die vom Fluss wegführt. Es hat keine Front zum Fluss, was ein Vorteil ist, da alle Flussrestaurants sehr voll waren und ich vermute, dass der Service langsamer gewesen wäre. Hier war der Service schnell und freundlich. Die Mitarbeiter sprechen Englisch. Das Essen war einfach und wurde recht schnell serviert. Außer Eiscreme schien es keine Desserts zu geben. Auf der Speisekarte standen einige indische Gerichte.
My wife has an excellent piece of veal (Swiss origin) that was presented at the table raw so we could choose the size and piece to cut. Was perfectly cooked! I had the small Swiss river fish; Egli filet a la meuniere! Excellent service and...wine suggestions! Can definitely reccommend it. NB we ate inside at a not very crowded time so the staff had good time to take care of us.
We have a quick lunch in this restaurant when our cruise ship arrived Stein am Rhein. The restaurant has both indoor or open sittings while in the latter case, you could have better views on the riverside. The food in general was acceptable with reasonable...price but the staff were a bit slow in action as we have to hurry up with our tour elsewhere.

Went for a long evening walk in this lovely town, but got hooked by the menu on display. It had a variety of rösti with raclette cheese melted over it. This combination is great! I had the butcher's rösti (Metzger Rösti) which had cervelat sausage...mixed in as well. Very surprising find and lovely dinner.
My family and I had a nice meal at Badstube. We were in a hurry and we asked them to prepare the meals very quickly. They did their very best and were very happy to serve us. The ambience is wonderful and the food was...fantastic. I would highly recommend it if you need a quick and quality food.
Stayed here for dinner and had excellent original Bouillabaisse' with selfmade rouille and fresh fruit salad. Next to fabulous Swiss and European dishes, the chef, who has Golden Fish awards, also cooks various delicious Indian meals. I wish them success and many more happy...customers.
Sehr, sehr, sehr langsam, das Personal wartet auf die Speisekarte, wartet auf Bestellung, wartet auf Gerichte und wartet sogar auf die Bezahlung des Geldes. Ich kann die Zutaten der Gerichte nicht erklären. Verstehe kein gutes Englisch. Die Frau (das Personal) war sehr unhöflich

Terrace is just off the lakefront promenade, but one can still see the Rhein. Excellent food, including a delicious asparagus salad and very fresh fish. Friendly service.
