Simply amazing simple food but amazing. Nasi goreng was delicious. Sate is unlike any other I've ever had in a fabulous way! Beef rendang was great. Serving sizes aren't huge but leave you very satisfied. Lovely spot for a casual lunch or dinner, or take away. I see that they also do western food but when the Indonesian selection is so fantastic why settle for another sandwich or burger!
The Bagus Cafe is an awesome and authentic Indonesian street food cafe in Cairns. Small, not many tables all crammed together adds to the authenticity. However the food is what draws crowds. Cheap, fast and full of flavour this place is now my favourite eating spot in Cairns (second is the Bayleaf Indonesian restaurant. See the theme? Haha).
Owned by the very nice couple Sri and Safwan, this hidden secret has a great variety of food options, in my week away in Cairns, I enjoyed a great beef rendang for lunch (5 stars) and many yummy breakfast burritos, if you are looking for a place quieter then the nearby Muddy's Cafe this place is your best option

Traditional Indonesian food just like home. You don't need to spend a fortune to eat amazing food. This place is the best Indonesian food you will get in North Queensland
I was so happy to find an Indonesian Resturant that cooked authentic Indonesian food. We walked a fair way to find the restaurant and it was worth it. Great food.
Very friendly owners/staff with traditional menu along with some western style to cater for all family members. Highly recommend as a regular place to eat....
