Very pleasant experience. The restaurant is filled with locals and they all seem to be regulars who visit often. The portions are somewhat small but the tastes are mostly authentic. We tried a little bit of everything. The quail appetizer was a standout as well as the seafood stir fry. I went there to savour the reputable dish roti duck, recommended by the owner's son. The roti had a multi layered texture that was delightfully crispy on the outside and unbelievably fluffy on the inside. The curry like sauce was beautifully made with a creamy feel, not heavy at all. The duck was extremely tender, seeming to melt in my mouth, the flavours and tastes sending great messages to my neuroreceptors.
The food at this restaurant was decent, with the stir fries being my favorite. However, I have had better Thai food elsewhere. The prawns in our dishes tasted strange and made it unpleasant, especially since all our dishes were seafood-based. I do recommend trying the crab fried rice though. The service was good and we had a pleasant dine-in experience for dinner. The price per person ranged from A$40-60.

Bai Yok is a great relaxed neighbourhood Thai restaurant in the Castlecrag strip. Their food, both dine in and take away, is always good. Staff are very friendly and welcoming to their restaurant. Street parking is available in the evenings.
I had the best chicken cashew nut stir fry ever at this restaurant. The service was amazing and the portion sizes were generous. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a rating of 5 out of 5.
