The night I visited there were more staff than customers, But other times I have driven past at 10pm on a weeknight and the place is still pumping. Winter is here, and particularly this year its a dangerous time for restaurants imagine a constant struggle of not enough customers or skilled staff.Was served by professional floor staff with just enough international accent for me to know it's going to be a legit Italian dining experience, Ohh and these guys have a number of investors including links to sette bello -the only place in the suburbs I know that astonishingly is frequently fully booked on a monday night, I go there often, and it seems baia di vino is the offering to locals this side...
Baia Di Vino stands out with its stunning decor featuring exposed beams, a wood-fired oven, a sophisticated bar, and large arched windows that offer breathtaking views. They also have a private dining room for ten and wine racks lining the walls, making it truly special. As locals, we were eager to give it a try, and we were not disappointed. The calamari was delectable, and the flounder infused with wood-fired flavor was perhaps the best I've ever had. Their signature dish, brodetto, not only looked impressive but was also incredibly tasty. Although we didn't sample the desserts, we were definitely tempted by the enticing treats delivered to a neighboring table—rest assured, we’ll try them...
A fantastic new addition to Sandringham and Bayside! We started our meal with anchovies, which were beautifully dressed and nicely complemented by olives. For our main courses, we enjoyed the special baby barramundi in a lemon butter sauce, cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven that enhanced the fish's flavor. Another standout was the special rocking served on a white bean purée, which provided a salty contrast accented by small dried berries for a touch of sweetness. The calamari was well-cooked, although the fluffiness of the Fregola stuffing was a bit questionable. The roasted red pepper and cos salads were delightful, with no complaints at all. So many places have tried and failed at this location. This new place I think has finally got the formula right. Nice fit out, they haven’t tried to cram too many tables in. Great menu, lots of choice, interesting. Good wine list, maybe could do with one or two more offers below $50 per bottle. Good staff and service.<br/ <br/ The food here was well above our expectations. We shared a few bits and pieces to start, the beetroot ravioli was a standout, the chorizo very good. For mains we had the duck and the beef cheeks. Both dishes were delicious and very generous in size. Firstly, the service was spot on, our waitress was super attentive and it’s definitely great to have a great dining restaurant in the local bayside area. Food was great and the selection of wine and beers are delicious. I will be coming back to eat the other dishes. Order the mille feuille, light and not overly sweet that it’s great to finish off with a wine or a coffee.
We visited this restaurant for our Christmas party, and the food was incredibly fresh! The prawns were exceptionally juicy, and the oysters were top-notch! The finger foods were perfectly cooked, and we all enjoyed the prawn risotto, which was al dente and packed with flavor. The location is unbeatable, right next to the beach. I can't wait to come back in the summer!
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here with my parents to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Food was delicious (especially the squid) and the service was outstanding. Look forward to going back here for dinner and wine or cocktails!
