Wow. I have to say it again, Wow. I ordered a full rack dry without sauce or sides and that was a meal! Just park the car you can smell the grill and if you enter, you know that you are in a great place. Directly behind the counter is a multi-door black smoker probably like 12' long and they feed it with logs to smoke it all night and smaller hardwood lining during the day. The taste is excellent and the ribs are very delicate, they cut the frame for you into individual ribs to make it easier to eat. Excellent quality meat and large part. For reference I travel both in- and internationally around 120 nights per year food all kinds of local food and these ribs are hands down the best!
I was in a hurry to order something alone with the Popeye chicken next door, so I called when I went through Popeye. I told them what I needed, but as soon as I said I'll be there soon to pick it up, they told me to go in to get the orders... Yeah, it didn't take long to talk to someone before me to get my orders (10 minutes). But he still has to pack everything. (This is why I have time, photos of menu) Nevertheless, customer service is still good. The food is still okay if you are looking for something as local. Here's the place.
Pleasantly surprised! Food tasted great! I’ve never been here before, so we gave it a whirl. Ribs were bussin, baked beans were good. We were hoping for some Texas style toast, but got bread instead. I’ll probably be back though for another round!
Absolutely the best ribs and brisket I've ever experienced! Great ambience, the best from South TX BBQ here in the Middle West. Do not be intimidated by the lines, it goes fast and it is worth waiting! Thanks Al BRAVO. Mike
