I ordered takeout this evening at 7:55 PM. I was told that the delivery would take 45 minutes. After an hour, I called back and was informed that the driver had been given the wrong door number by the staff. They also claimed that they had called my number 10 times with no answer, even though my phone was with me the whole time. I was told that the driver was still on my road and that the food would be arriving soon. Twenty minutes later, I called back again and was told that it would be here soon. As a regular customer who orders at least once a week, I believe I should be treated better. It is now 9:30 PM and I have informed them that I do not want the food on this occasion. It's a real sh...
I spent £50 on a takeout order. The Garlic Chilli Chicken was disappointing, as it was mostly oil and hardly had any chicken. Additionally, my wife's main dish was missing. When I called the restaurant, they said they would send another but did not apologize. The starters were good, but by the time the missing dish arrived, everything was cold. This was supposed to be a special treat for us, as we are not wealthy. It seems like there may be a new chef at the restaurant, as the quality of the food was below average and it was a schoolboy error. I would normally give this place a 4-5 star rating, but not today.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Don't sacrifice quality for price! I ordered takeout from this restaurant and immediately regretted it when I saw what was inside the container. Instead of the promised Bombay potatoes, I was faced with a strange dish of melon in an unappetizing orange sauce. The Naan bread was also disappointing - grey and smelly. I didn't bother trying the rest of the food and threw it all away. It's unbelievable that they think it's okay to serve such awful dishes. They should be ashamed of themselves.
terrible take away service ordered from this balti cottage placed order online around 4.45pm food arrived around 6pm was told by driver not to order before 7pm because we are too far away from restaurant if they dont deliver this far out to romford they shouldnt accept order i will avoid at all costs now
Ordered a takeaway on a Thursday night , never turned up. Guy on phone said it’s been delivered , when website states it’s cash only on a half price night : and he said there’s an amount pending…no food no payment boys : Might want to coach your drivers or get your orders correct in future.
Not been for a few years and have to say it’s better now than the last time we went ,it’s never gonna win a Michelin star but for a tenner you can’t go wrong ,good selection of curries and Wicked tandoori chicken .Fast,efficient service and great staff.
Overall friendly staff, the choice of food is minimalistic 16 different types, but within reason of what you expect. The quality of the food is great. Was missing paneer dishes, maybe they are on a ceperate menu. I did the all you can eat sevice.
Love this place. I mostly order take away form the Balti Cottage. Lovely food, always hot. Staff are friendly. Always arrives in good time.
