I have a take we ordered for starter, net and an extra nan brot overloaded. we were full for the nan that replaced the Pilau rice without allowance for the swaps, calculated poppodome and chutneys (only space that gives them no free poppodom for each dish). the bill came to which is expensive for a cold takeaway! if that was good, we would have overlooked everything, but it was the most tasteless Indian we all ever had. we later noticed on the menu that we had given a bottle of wine for a job, but was filled with a small bottle of coks! they avoid all the standards for Newcastles food. we called to question the overload and why we didn't get wein, but the girl was extremely...
I don’t like leaving negative reviews but in this case I have no choice. We really fancied a curry when we stayed in Newcastle recently. We managed to get a table despite it being packed. We discovered that they did a special priced menu on...a Tuesday which was advertised as for three courses. Probably that’s why it was busy. We decided we wouldn’t have that as we wanted something different rather than poppadums for starters. I ordered onion baggi to start which had no taste whatsoever not even of onion. We saw a board on the wall beside the door advertising a Tuesday special. Poppodum, any starter, any main, rice or naan bread We waited and went on Tuesday. The menu had the special listed as poppodum with sauce, any main and plain/boiled rice...or Naan bread Not only was this extra, but the starter had also been removed. We checked with the waitress who said the board outside was old, the menu was the current price. We didn't get an apology, the waitress was sharp. We left. This is very poor.
If I was on Death Row, my final meal request would be an Indian. If it was from Balti House, though, I’d rather fast ahead of my imminent demise. Possibly the worst Indian I’ve had in a long time. Waitress rude and/or disinterested, no toilet...roll in bathroom, cooked rice in kitchen lying uncovered in IKEA-like toy containers. Extremely pricey too. The kids’ chicken nuggets and chips (which didn’t come with the advertised side salad) looked horrid too.

We weren’t too sure about trying this restaurant after reading the reviews. The chicken pakora was tender and onion bhaji the nicest I have tasted. We had lamb chatnindud, chicken jalfrezi and saag aloo, all the dishes were tasty. Having lived in London we know...what good Indian food tastes like. The Mangeress was lovely and very helpful. Glad we didn’t listen to the reviews.
good vegan options and delicious food, but unfortunately we had to fight on the waitress and cook and scream in the kitchen during our meal. unbelievably pathetic behavior. no wonder that the restaurant is empty all the time. a miracle that it survives....Sad really, how to eat was fantastic.
the most tasty water tap tikka masala I had ever had together with dry hard bhajis everything was hardly warm. to round it off, we were also overloaded, about which the very rude woman who leads the place argued. that was that I gave it. place a second chance, never important!
This is my sixth time back to this wee restaurant. The food is amazing and surroundings nice. Great value for money and thibk it is a gem of a place. Service was good as more waiters and waitresses. If you like Indian food you'll be...very happy with this wee place.

Curry was tasty. Service was poor. Place was untidy and down at heel. Pity. God be with the days of the lovely cinnamon house in newcastle
for a few years we are here and food is always good. the staff is inconspicuous, but helpful and attentive. I hope I'll revise soon.
