Last Saturday 28th September 2021 my wife and I celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with 23 of our family. We decided to have an Indian takeaway meal in the evening and I put together a list of what everyone wanted. It was quite a list. Not having used the Balti King before I was a bit nervous of how this would turn out. The meal wad delivered and every single thing I had ordered arrived, hot and on time. As the name would suggest, this is an Indian restaurant and take away. Situated in Ticklemore Street. Probably best used as a takeaway as the restaurant is very small and woefully quiet. We have been the only people in there on most nights we have been.The food is very good though, both eat in and take away. The takeaway has a free delivery service on orders over a particular value, but I can't remember what that value is. You can order take away and sit in the bar and have a drink while you wait for it to be cooked. My friends and I decided on a whim to have curry at this restaurant on a Saturday night. The place was bustling with a continuous flow of customers picking up takeout orders, but they were more than willing to seat us. The food was delicious, with everything tasting fresh and incredible. Ordered a meal two hours minutes ago, phoned three times, different excuse each time, final call was told we don't have any drivers tonight we sent it in a taxi minutes ago. Still not arrived so I can only assume the taxi driver got paid for eating our meal. We didn't even get a call to apologise or advice what was happening, disgusting.
I had a takeaway last night absolutely superb. I will definately go again service and friendliness great food even better. I pride myself on knowing good curries this was one of the best!
I placed an order for pick-up and it was ready on time. The food was amazing and lasted me 3 days! The prices are fair for the quality of the food. I would definitely eat here again.
