I went on a busy Friday night with a huge group and there was a live performance so it was dizzy and lively. I didn't really pay attention to what was ordered, so when the dishes were handed over to me, I had to try a little of everything I love. These were all family-run dishes, so we picked up a bit from our plate. I started with the Papaya salad, which was so refreshing and delicious. The next round was noodles. I love the vibes in this restaurant! I've been to the Banana Bay a few times in the past and wasn't back in a few years, but the boy has changed! The exterior looks crazy, there is a huge fish up there, the walkway to the restaurant is illuminated with Chinese lanterns and bright sacrisan blossoms! I tried their Temple City location and was thrilled to taste their location Rowland Heights. The vibes are definitely different between the two but we just say Rowland Heights is super popping! They put a lot of thoughts on their decor and it stands out from the rest of the Plaza! Love it! I came here on Friday night. Since it was my first time to visit this place, I'm not sure if it's always Popping, but the Vibes are here! I loved her live music, and it really made the place and everyone was happy. I used to be here regularly, but moved away and was not back in a decade. Just came back last weekend and WOW this place is amazing! Atmosphere: Great local vibes still there was a live cover band there Friday night and it was totally jammin! Food area is huge and many local people drink in line while waiting for a table. The food was great! Our table got a variety of dishes, including the Banana Bay Pad thai and fried Hainan chicken, which were the stars in my book. The tampon thai was perfectly fried with a bunch of shrimps. The hainan chicken was super juicy and tasteful on the inside and crsip to perfection on the outside. Service was also top notch! Most people I know enjoy going here late at night for their jello shots. However, they are always busy and lively enough to create a great ambiance/girls night out. Their food is Thai comfort food and they give generous portions. However, what I really appreciate is how they have performers singing and giving the place a fun atmosphere. It's not one of those restaurants that is oddly quiet. Also, the songs that they sing are really relaxing and just help me enjoy taking my time with my meal.
The portion size is great and the pad see ew is very tasty. I really appreciate whoever cooked my meal. I have been a loyal customer of Banana Bay since 2005. This is the only restaurant where I have never had a bad meal or experienced poor service. It is truly exceptional.
The food at the restaurant was tasty. Ordering on DoorDash was very convenient as the takeout line was extremely long when I went to pick up my order. My Tom Kha soup was unexpectedly spicy this time, but still delicious.

I ordered Tom Yum noodle with Rice Noodle (dry) and Beef Salad 20% tips was given to dasher to ensure a safe and on time delivery. The food look great, and food taste fresh and delicious.
