This is a fantastic place to go to after a walk around the nearby reservoir and it is dog friendly. Hearty food is the order of the day here and they certainly don’t skimp on the portions. Plenty of choice on the menu too. I had the lentil soup which was really good. I would have that again. I must mention the staff who were so friendly. The only downer was that the car park is not big enough but there is not a great deal that can be done about that.
I had the Dambuster all day breakfast and I have to say what good quality every item was on the plate. My son had this to and he had no complaints. The fried bread was perfectly done and the black pudding was excellent. My grandson had a burger which was very much to his taste, again the quality was excellent. Every member of staff was so friendly too and nothing was too much trouble. I will be calling in again if I am in the area.
Called in for the first time after a walk around Langsett reservoir. Husband had omelette and chips which he really enjoyed. I had cream tea and the scone was warm and so light! Really tasty. My friend had cake (can't remember the name of it) but it was packed with fruit and she loved it. Staff very nice and service was great. Will definitely be coming back!
This restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is consistently top quality, reasonably priced, and the steak and stout pie is amazing every time. The homemade chips are cut by hand and delicious. This restaurant is fantastic for a post-walk meal or just a visit. The food is homemade and sourced locally, offering wholesome dishes. The jam roly poly and custard, as well as the quiche, were delicious. The decor is charming and unique. The staff was exceptional, providing a warm and friendly experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Mid afternoon food home cooked huge portions lovely staff amazing old school pudding after a 5 mile walk around the area Langsett the perfect little cafe. Recommended definitely. Thanks all for the service delicious home made food
I stopped by this restaurant for breakfast and was very impressed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and my order came out very quickly. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a drink or a meal.

Lovely cafe, friendly polite staff, super food. Can sit indoors or nice garden area. We called after a nice walk round Langsett Reservoir. Would highly recommend.
