Well renowned around town, Banneton Bakery was has grown from being a market stall selling fresh bread to having brick and mortar establishments situated around town. This has now gotten it a trio of them, being in Ashgrove, Woolloongabba, and as of writing this review the most recent one in Camp Hill. Overtime it is becoming something of its own, and the popularity in all parts speaks for itself. In spite of its name, these are transforming into some of the most trusted cafes on the corner. <br/ <br/ Since the day beforehand other plans on my part meant a tighter schedule, what that meant was that the usual weekend errands were not able to be completed that is, grocery shopping. Cannot fault the pastries at this place! Consistency fresh and delicious which same goes for their cabinet sandwiches and wraps. Probably my third or fourth time visiting here over the years, but first time ‘dining in’. Each time is very ‘hit or miss’ with coffees and friendliness of staff. On this occasion my cappuccino was very sour and bitter, and I’ve had this occur one time before as well. I do think it depends on who makes it, so would love to see some consistency! Their other location seems to really hit the mark with their coffees in all aspects and would love if this cafe could be just as reliable. Other than this, would 100% recommend their cinnamon scrolls… so so good!
Popped into Banneton for a treat following lunch with Joe K at Crazy Panda Dumpling Bar.<br/ <br/ I like the layout of this shop and the open-air feel more than I do the Woolloongabba location. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.<br/ <br/ Grabbed a Pain Au Chocolate, which I brought home to share with Lady Meatball and Mini Meatball. This was above average and rated a 3.5.<br/ <br/ I also wanted to pick up some bread, but their selection was extremely depleted by 1:30 on a Friday.
This is a fabulous bakery and the baguettes are high quality (I lived in Paris above a bakery, so feel confident in making this claim). Garlic focaccia is equally delicious and almond croissants on par with the best in Brisbane. The shining light is the famous Breton speciality, the Kouign Amann. The caramélisation is spot on and the custard centre is always creamy and beautifully complements the solid crust on the bottom. The only issue is they only turn up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday....

A few months ago, I was looking for a light breakfast at a small shopping center and came across this bakery that also serves coffee. The assortment of breads in the display caught my eye. I decided to order a plain croissant with jam and butter, pairing it with a flat white. To my surprise, the croissant exceeded my expectations, and the coffee was made with real passion. It truly made my day!
I always enjoy visiting this impeccably clean Bakery Cafe. The gleaming glass display cases make the pastries and savory items look absolutely tempting. My favorites are the Pain Au Chocolat and the Chocolate Almond Croissant. Today, I’m treating Phuong Tran to the Blueberry Danish. The service is friendly and welcoming. I definitely plan to return for the Quiche!
I've never been disappointed at this cafe before. The cafe is small, but somehow I find the seating very spacious. Not an inch of the stylish cafe is wasted. Their brandied fruit loaf and beef pies are incredible. The service is fast and fairly cheap. The staff are always polite. We can't wait to return.
Had brekky here today, nice little cafe in the new part of the centre. Bagel with smoked salmon was delicious! Tart au citron was also very yummy. Tried a rye sourdough which was very dark and packed with seeds. One of the best breads I've ever eaten!! Will definitely be going back.

This charming cafe offers a variety of delicious pastries and serves a decent cup of coffee. When I visited, it was nearly closing time, so the selection of treats was limited. However, my flat white was beautifully smooth and had a great strength to it.
