We loved this bar. The staff were so helpful - mixture of my French and their English we got by - but they were keen to help! Good choices of spirits, including botanical gins and the sangria is especially good! Excellent pintxos available early evening but do sell out quickly. There are sports tv screens in the bar, but they are not the main feature of the bar. Lovely atmosphere and good location in the old port area. Nice grown up bar - some of the bars on Rue Gambetta are just a scrum - ok for the teenagers!! Open from 6pm to 2am so nice for a night cap. No nice views of the sea but a really nice locals bar.
Returned after 3 years away and nothing has changed - thankfully.First visit of this trip was a simple platter of meats and a glass of wine. Dried meats are sliced as orderd so very fresh and tasty. Second visit we decided to have the full menus at 39 euros per person which did include cold meat platter, 1KG cote de Boeuf and fresh frites and a full bottle of wine, dessert and coffeeThe other option was a whole fish which also looked very good.
Set at the Port end of Biarritz, on a scorching day this bar and its tree shaded garden looked enticing, and friendly, so we decided to give a go. We loved it. The Pintxos were €1.80 each I think, so with a glass of cold wine and a beer, it was an inexpensive and delicious lunch for us. Wanted to try them all. Just look at the photos! Great quality. Go.
We visited this bar on two occasions whilst staying in Biarritz as we found the staff and guests very friendly and only too happy to interpret what was on offer. Shared a generous platter of mixed meats, cheese, pickles, bread whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two. There was a live band playing which added to the enjoyment and the atmosphere.

Really friendly bar with great atmosphere. Even better when a live band is playing. Great location just up from the beach so a good place to stop off when head back for a shower and even better to visit later at night.
this is a good bar, however we were on a Stag do, and was surprised when 5.50 Euros got us half a pint of guiness, but hey ho it went down well all the same. Freindly Bar staff would use again
Rainy night in Biarritz but cosy inside. Unfortunately there was a match on TV so noise levels were rather high. Good pizza however and efficient waiting staff
Good place too chill early evening on way back from the beach etc,reasonable array of tapas ,draft beers etc,live TVs for sport etc...

Good draught beer Heineken. Tapas could be better, I was expecting more flavour and the bread was a bit "old". Good atmosphere.
Very good bar. Waiters were really nice, tapas were excellent and we had the pleasure to have someone singing live.
