"Visited for weekday lunch. Chose three course plat du jour. Choice of two starters (ham and goats cheese quiche or a chicken innards dish) Main of chicken stuffed with chorizzo, served either with frites or boiled potatoes and green beans. Multitude of choices for dessert...(we had a pear tart, a creme brulee and a marscapone and exotic fruit concoction all were delicious). With three beers and one coffee the bill was less than euros. It was a beautiful sunny day and so we ate on the front terrace. One member of staff spoke very good English, much better than our French, but all the staff attempted to communicate with good humour. Well worth a stop if you're in Clisson for the Friday market...

This establishment is now called La Villa'. On our journey to the Vendee, we stopped in Clisson for lunch this was the first place we saw. It was so the lunch trade was still good and this place had plenty of free tables...for us two. The plat du jour menu looked good so we thought we'd have a nice lunch. No such luck. It went downhill from there. We waited to be shown to a table by the surly manager'. Once seated, we were completely ignored by this waiter' who passed us by on a number of occasions to serve other tables. I dismissed the few times he nudged me in the back with empty plates collected from other tables he continued to ignore my gesticulations to obtain a menu or even his attent...
