We ask him and he acts as if we made him uncomfortable. asked him about our separate controls and he brings one and says he doesn't separate controls and then simply hits the controls on the table. I absolutely adored this restaurant when I lived in the area. I recently returned for a matinee show at Source Theater and enjoyed a delicious brunch at Bar Pilar beforehand. The food was fantastic, particularly the eggs Benedict with country ham on biscuits. It was so tasty! Conveniently located next to the theater, we were able to leisurely enjoy our brunch before strolling over just 10 minutes before the show started. I really love this place, and the service was excellent as well.
this place is dark, atmospheric, a bit cramped. but eat it! oh my! amazing! I had the wagyu pastrami banh mi. my friend had the burger. both dishes were so tasteful. I usually take rest home, but we both have finished each bite. I have to say my pastrami was a touch overcooked, but it wasn't even the spicy, the brot, the sprinkles. I plan my next flight back to bar pilar. drive them to the bartender server and to the drinks that were also top notch.
Service was wonderful, and food was great. The music was on kind of loud for brunch upstairs, and then a loud table sat behind us so it was even harder to hear. That was our only complaint. Every staff person was very friendly and competent. Our party of 3 enjoyed the French toast supremo dish with fruit, eggs, potatoes, biscuit, and greens. The fruits and greens were beautifully fresh and tasty, and the biscuit was especially good.

Love this bar it's cozy, the staff is nice, they have solid drinks and food but man it gets so crowded and the upstairs is for sit down eating only! Just wish that both the up and downstairs were open for casual eating bar service. But it's a really nice space!
Multiple servers checked with us and undermined eachother. There was poor coordination for the bottomless options. Food was ultimately fine as were drinks but the confusion from servers detracted from the experience
The bartender was extremely friendly and personable. I was a bit puzzled as to why we were unable to order from their cocktail menu. It's not a major issue, but I just wanted to mention it.
beautiful place to stop and get a drink. service was great and the drinks were pretty good. there was no chance to taste the food, but the menu looked good.
