We turned up as a large group of 7 adults with 2 babies on two occasions at lunch time on the off-chance of lunch on the terrace. The first occasion was when we were waiting to check into a nearby villa and the second when we made a let minute decision to have lunch out on our penultimate day of our 1 week stay in the area. The staff, although seemingly a little thrown by the fact that we had not booked, made us very welcome. Not one of us was disappointed by our food. Our choices ranged from a selection from the bar menu to choices from the a la carte menu. All were cooked to perfection. I agree with other reviews that some dishes that we sampled rivalled those that we have sampled in Miche...
We selected the snack menu, slightly smaller portions than the main menu but still good sized portions, you won't go hungry later with either one! Pil Pil prawns were good and the Hamburger I had was lovely. The Tiramisu was by far the best I have ever tasted and presented like you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant and all 3 courses for a very reasonable price indeed. La Vinuela is off the beaten track into the mountains from Velez-Malaga but not too far and worth the trip. This is a Spa hotel and one I would consider staying at in the future, the area is beautiful. Pay a visit, you won't be disappointed.
Unassuming restaurant with a good sized terrace to the side. Comprehensive menu covering Spanish, Italian pizzas and steaks etc. Pleasant if rather small interior space, comfortable seating and tables. Waiter somewhat reserved, but attentive. Excellent food arrived after rather a long wait. Appreciate that food is cooked fresh and restaurant is family run but if time is not on your side, think again, this is Spain.
We were visiting with friends who live locally and were greeted warmly and seated on the terrace which has a view of the lake. Our drinks arrived quickly, including some VERY large strong gin and tonics. We all chose salads, which were nicely put together with some interesting ingredients. Service was quick and friendly.
This is an excellent place for a simple meal. Friendly service, fairly priced dishes and a choice between small/medium/large portions. As a starter we had the mixed salad and the exotic salad and both were excellent. Nice wine list for such a simple family restaurant.
One of the best in the area. We live locally and often call in for lunch. a Beautiful outside eating area, good value, excellent food. During the summer, go to the Jazz nights. No premium charged, just pay for the meal and have live entertainment. Fantastic place
In the center of Vinuela, this is a comfortable , reasonable place restaurant. The leek and prawn pie is great, so are the fish dishes and the medallions of pork with mushroom sauce . Good wine and friendly waitresses make for a very pleasant evening.
Great service, fantastic food and a lovely Atmosphere! One of our favourite restaurants in the area and we would definitely recommend this little gem!!
Excellent prawn cocktail and marvellous pizza as well as things like veal steaks, barbecued in the summer, and excellent fish (sole for example)
