I went to Barbara Pinseria on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. Overall, it was absolutely perfect for the type of experience we were aiming for very lively and fun, with awesome views to people watch, and the restaurant itself is very stylish. The main issue is the staff wasn't very attentive, and even though we wrote that it was my friend's birthday in the reservation notes, we had to go out of our way to ask/remind them for the birthday sparklers. To be fair, it did look like our waitress was covering all the tables, so they may have just been short staffed. For birthdays, they bring out a slice of birthday cake, dim the lights, pump up the music, and as mentioned, there are sparklers!!...
Food is consistently good, from appetizers up to main and down to dessert.For starters, we had Brussels Chips and Carpaccio Di Manzo. Brussel sprouts chips are good. A little bit salty, but that is what chips are. They were crispy and addictive as well.For main, we had Margherita and San Francisco Pizzas and then pastas Tortelloni Di Manzo, Tagliatelle Salmone Zucchine. We went to Barbara to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and it was great! Solid Italian food but what made it stand apart is the amazing birthday celebrations. Will certainly return for future celebrations

What a great place. It was lively and fun. The accommodated nine of us and we never felt like an inconvenience. Service was quick and dirty plates removed timely and all staff was in it. Love it.
Lunch: The cacio e pepe dish and green salad with walnuts paired with a glass of prosecco was superb. The service paired with North Beach atmospheric ambience was wonderful. Highly recommended!
