Thomas and Char have outdone themselves with their Father's Day buffet. Everything was perfect. When we arrived early we asked if we could enjoy a beer while we waited and sat down with two lagers. They completely hit the spot. We then started with an incredible beef soup then the salad bar that always has unique items. I sampled each of the items in the buffet and (as always) really loved the Rouladin and Schnitle. The Sauerkraut was made with baby back ribs so it had a little different flavor this time. Pierogies were great with bacon and sour cream. Chris had extra space for the desert table so she created over 20 different deserts, each of which were perfectly portioned so one could try...
We decided to take in the German buffet on Saturday. The food selection was good, no surprises, tasty but maybe a bit overpriced for the amount of choice available. The biggest problem is the place overall is a bit grimy. The drink menu and condiment bottles on the table were dirty and sticky, as well as the tray they were sitting on. The decor is tired and worn out. I get the current owners are probably trying to maintain the sentimental value that was created by the original Barb and Ernie but the furniture and the space are DONE. Time to renovate!
Es war unser erstes Mal hier, aber wir wussten seit Jahren über den Ort! Meine einzige Enttäuschung war, dass wir hier nicht früher aufgehört hatten !!! Das Essen war so gut wie Hausmannskost. Ich würde dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen und wir werden trotzig wiederkommen !!!
Barb Ernie's is famous for their breakfasts but we love going to their German buffet in the evening. It's very good authentic German food. There is always a homemade soup as well as many delicious salads and desserts. It's a bargain at 24.95 per person.

The Father's Day buffet was served our if the rear furnace room/ mechanical room. The dirty ceiling was exposed and it was very off putting. The food was decent but not spectacular. The staff were fantastic.
Déjà vu experience ... have been to Barb and Ernie’s numerous times since opening but not in last 15 yr. Still great food and great hosts. Thank you Thomas, Chris and Char.
Food had a wonderful homemade taste and comfort. Enjoyed our buffet meal very much. The desserts especially reminded me of my childhood. So good.
The food was good, homstyle cooking in generous portions. Service was friendly. The perfect place for our brunch gathering of 10 people.
