on the way to work was broken down that meant this place could check as long as they were there! Why? because I am a hobby cook who is addicted to making bbq the old fashion: low and slow over wood. Why did it take so long? I just wish I had gone earlier because that was the one who was bombing. I ordered the bbq beef sandwich and it would be pretty hard to improve. my only part was the side of the garlic parm fries was clearly boiled under (almost the 5th star lost it, but I just couldn't do it). not very sharp. the taste was there, and I think they'd be killed next time. even if I am them, I make it a bit more with a kind of plastic wheels of aioli to go with them, or a chipotle Mayo dimme...
Have ordered from here twice now for pick up. Both times food was ready at the time requested, and still hot. Staff is super friendly and very efficient. Our favourite menu items so far include the pulled pork sandwich, the beef sandwich, and their many...flavours of delicious wings. The strawberry bbq wings are a must try. The only item I wasn't a huge fan of was the grilled cheese as the pork belly was a bit too thick and fatty for me, but I'm sure plenty of big meat lovers would still like it. A great spot to order some take out from when you're in a pinch!
during this crazy time, I wanted to have something normal. I tried barbecupid for the first time and they did not disappoint! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with french fries, and I can honestly say it's one of the best chickens...sandwiches I had. the hunch was very tender, and it had such a nice cripple on it, as well as with the teig on it. it came with honey and chipotle mayo on what I was comprehending, but I thought trying, and I'm glad I did. the portion size was great for the price, and I will definitely be back for more. great job!
have a fast snack with my bf. was the best poutine with smoke bark ends to sprinkle over the top. we also shared a plate of the richest mac and cheese, we had ever the priveledge of tasting. The staff is incredibly friendly. They provided us with some of the best barbecue food I have ever eaten. It was sauced perfectly and the owner even gave us a free bag of sweet potato chips to try. The best food truck in town and...one of the best places to eat in town.
Barbecupid is by far the best BBQ I have had. The pulled pork melts in your mouth. It is amazing. I stopped in twice while visiting Thunder Bay. I even paid an admittance fee to a Beer Festival just so I could get lunch from...Barbecupid.
When I walked up to Barbecupid I didn´t think it would be anything special. WAS I EVER WRONG. This place has THE BEST BBQ I´ve ever had, very fair prices and great service. I guarantee you go back, I´m going back later today.

Delicious pulled pork, smoked beef and burgers. Best deep fried pickles in town guaranteed. House-made BBQ potato chips and sweet potato chips and fantastic, garlic Caesar dressing.
