They are always willing to split my wings, spatchcock my chickens, and slice roasts to fit my family's needs. I particularly enjoy their house-made sausages. This shop is located inside a building full of other businesses with an open space atmosphere that kind of reminds me of a San Francisco type of place. As for the business I found the meat to be excellent. All the cuts were marbled and fresh. I was there for a different reason though. I needed an elk and a deer cut and packaged. The meat was handled well with all cuts were vacuum packed. But the only thing that I didn't like was they didn't mark the meat packages so I couldn't tell what cut of meat it was. Wow, this butcher shop had the best customer service in person ever! Forgive me if I forgot your name, but I think it was Raul(? , who helped me with my meat purchase. Since it was my first time cooking prime rib, I was extremely nervous and intimidated. I've never cooked anything this big or expensive either, lol. Anyways, he gave me advice on how to prep the prime rib by adding salt to help retain moisture and types of seasoning on the meat. So that was very helpful! Lastly, I actually followed Food Wishes's Method X recipe on YouTube and it was a big success! Thanks for getting me a fresh piece from the fridge and tying it up as well, you're the best!!! Finding the place was a bit tricky since it's located inside a large building that houses several other businesses, including an organic supermarket, a winery, and a restaurant on the second floor. It's in Castro Valley, so I wasn't too surprised by the setup! As soon as we walked in, I loved the atmosphere. I ordered the steak while my boyfriend explored the organic market. The butcher was incredibly nice and helpful, answering all my questions. I ended up getting a pound of ribeye steak and left feeling excited.
The final result? Let me tell you, that steak was absolutely one of the best I've ever had! I will definitely return here whenever I'm in the mood for a homemade steak!

I never had a tomahawk steak and really wanted to try one. This placed had tons of different types of cuts and I got a tomahawk and a NY strip. Both were amazing. Tender, juicy, and nice fat to meat ratio. You could tell the butchers knew what they were doing and all I had to do was season and put it in the cast iron.
This is an excellent spot for chicken, served fresh and cut to order. They offer a variety of natural and organic meats and fish. If you call ahead, they can also prepare your order in advance for you.
