The appetizers, specifically the crostini, weren't particularly impressive. However, the pasta dishes were enjoyable, though do keep in mind that they adhere quite strictly to the "al dente" standard, perhaps a bit too much for my preference. The service was very warm and welcoming, but the pacing could use some improvement; everything seemed to take longer than expected.
The desserts were definitely the highlight of the meal—though I have to say, the lava cake turned out to be just a regular chocolate cake without the molten center. Still, Bartolo is a solid choice for a cozy neighborhood restaurant, perfect for a casual weekday dinner.
Bartolo's was recommended to us by my sister, who lived in Ridgefield for many years. Yesterday, we chose to visit in celebration of my beautiful Mom's life. We and our guests were delighted with the menu and the food was scrumptious. Service was excellent. We are confident you'll enjoy dining there. We know it will be a wonderful experience for you. Highly recommend it! Our first time here. The crostinis were Amazing, great wine, Julia our host was excellent and knowledgeable, the salmon and chicken dishes were exceptional. You could taste the love in the dishes. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the lazy lasagna : Oh and the DESSERTS Espresso Gelato and Blonde were the perfect ending. My husband and I stopped here for dinner before show st Ridgefield Playhouse. We did not have reservations but we were accommodated. We had a wonderful dinner....I had the short rib ravioli and husband had bronzino special. Service was attentive and we made to feel welcome and comfortable . We will definitely be back and will make reservations next time!

Consistently delicious with good friendly service. We just got back from dinner. I had. A special veal chop parm... So tender I didn't pick up the steak knife, I ate it with a bread knife. Best in Ridgefield.
I enjoyed the filet mignon special tonight, and it was the best steak I've had in a long time! The food and service were excellent! We will definitely return!
