I used to bring people to this bar as I'm a local. Tonight I asked for 4 drinks from the owner of the bar and received 3, having paypassed the transaction. I asked for the bartender's attention; she gave me signals with her fingers to indicate that I needed to wait 2 or 3 more minutes. Ten minutes later she came back and told me the I should know what I had ordered, and if she had misheard me, it's not her problem. When I argued the point, she took my drinks away and threatened to call the police. She slammed some money on the counter and told me to leave. It's all happening in Thornbury with the addition of this funky new hot spot! Barton Fink is an upbeat bar with pumping music and a great atmosphere. Owners Jo and Eric have gone to great lengths to make the Fink a chilled but happening place that you will want to visit again and again. Creative cocktails - the Brokeback Jack is my favourite, with its well-balanced mix of Chambord, vodka and mint - and a scrumptious choice of tapas, all served by friendly, smiling staff. The beer garden is the perfect place to soak up some sun or make the most of a balmy evening. We will definitely be back!
went there a few months ago and it was great. Our second visit this week with a group of 12 was a major disappointment. Place has gone backwards. They have removed most of their beer selection and replaced with all craft beers, and we tried to order food at 9.02 pm and was told the kitchen closed at 9pm. Willing to throw away $200 of food for 2 minutes, and to be fair if the glacial bar staff had of been up to par, we would have been ordering well before 9pm. Wont be back...
I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is beautiful, the staff is amazing and hilarious, the drinks are delicious, and there is a great crowd and music! I will definitely be a regular here.

Decent place for a drink after work, especially nice in summer as they have an outdoor area that is cosy. Drink options are decent and food options are pretty standard.
We come here regularly as the staff are amazing. Friendly and efficient. Food is good too! Decor is fab and always a great atmosphere. Fantastic beer garden too.
Yet another winner for a night out in thornbury. Good range of drinks and food - we loved the fat chips. Friendly staff and plenty for the fink fans out there.
It gets two stars for the sunny courtyard. G&T made with flat cheap tonic water. Really average, better options around the area.
