I organised a surprise birthday party for my partner here at Basco and hired out the Gold function room. Not only was it an absolute blast and amazing value, James helped us keep it a secret even when we came to dine weeks before the event. The food was fantastic, especially the crumbed camembert! Having all the food as pintxos made it super easy for everyone to eat and made for a wide variety of tastes and flavours. I highly recommend Basco for functions or just dinner out, fun and fresh atmosphere, amazing staff and super delish menu. basco has the best vegan tacos in melbourne! the vegan kfc taco (korean fried cauliflower) is the bomb! They can also have a smokey bean and fried avo taco as well as sweet potato and aubergine wedges with vegan sriracha mayo and miso sauce. there are also vegan salad cups. the best are the vegan churros! so delicious mmmmm. there are also meat options for these non-woke peeps they have some vegan workers who all know what is with the vegan drinks. amazing cocktails too. they make their own tequila infusions, try the frida’s margarita (spicky watermelon margarita happy hour of 5-7 every day and 2 for 1 cocktails on Fridays in happy hour. in any case recommend. 10/10
I booked a table for about 20 here for my birthday. we sat right next to the door, which was not the best. I would recommend basco for a mixed group of vegan, vegos and omnis. the menu should please everyone. the personal was friendly. I liked the “Korea” cauliflower taco more than that with tempura avocado. hot avocado really tastes strange, so I ordered it. Overall I was not that hyped on eating, but the service was friendly and 2 for $30 espresso martinis is a good end to every evening.
all I can say is eebus for basco! they are totally served on my list of fav restaurants outstanding flavorsome vegan! I usually don't like the fusion, but that works. I love the chili and lime trees! the app does not let me rate them 5 stars because they are not completely vegan/vegetarian, but I would give them absolutely 5 stars. updated by previous review on 2019-01-20
