A small, friendly BYO restaurant, take-away in Turramurra Princes Street.The Margarita Pizza ($12/$16 for small/large) was very tasty, made on the spot with a thickish base. The burgers (chicken $10ish, beef $11ish) were on fresh buns, plenty of trim and the meat was tasty. Prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants and take-aways in the near vicinity and possibly bordering on better value for money. The mood of everyone in the restaurant was jovial and friendly from diners to staff so we didn't mind the wait - they seemed pretty busy yet full of beans. Worth a visit, especially if you live in the area. It is also right next door a liquor store which compliments the BYO menu.
I have ordered a number of pizzas from this restaurant in the past, during this time I initially received a pizza with meat after having ordered vegetarian, everyone can make a mistake so I let it pass. Today I received yet another vegetarian pizza with...meat toppings, I only discovered this two slices in. I’m not ordering vegetarian pizza out of choice, I actually get violently ill when consuming animal protein. My suggestion is if you have any allergies of any kind DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT.
The burgers were good but the Rustic Bruschetta pizza was no more than the plain base with a ton of pesto and parmesan. I couldn't find any tomato base, and there was no bruschetta topping what so ever, so we gave up after one piece...each was just eating raw pesto! As a side note are you aware your website didn't load and when I tried to order delivery on line through menulog it said you were closed.
It's interesting to read such mixed reviews. This is our favorite castle restaurant and the service has always been excellent. The owner is a very friendly guy, and we enjoy talking to him every time we visit. The food is amazing - full of beautiful flavors and so juicy. I couldn't believe it was frozen. Feeling optimistic I returned to base n burger. Picked up my pizza and went home to find they had made me the wrong one. Will have to say this is the last time I will be going here. Had plans to be leaving the house...by 7 but of course base n burger strikes back at disrupting my night.
Terrible, waited 45 minutes after it was meant to be ready, they saw us waiting but left our food sitting on the bench and couldnt let us know it was ready until we asked . They missed items in the order and got 2 burgers...wrong, 1 which someone had an alergy to that food item.

This restaurant is family-run which I appreciate. The service is helpful and fairly quick. It can get a bit cold sitting outside during the cooler months. Parking is easy at night. The burgers are delicious and generously sized. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A nice clean family run business, if dining in it is a little cramped and noisy, best bet is takeaway - nothing flash just good wholesome burgers/pizzas.
