Usually can't fault this place. Attended with 3 friends early evening. Whilst trying to order the food, waiter put his hand up in my face and rudely grunted that he wasn't ready. ignored that, we all have bad days. Waiter who brought the food out just threw it down onto the table, we had to pass dishes around to where they needed to be. Food tasted great, however the chicken was so finely sliced and was nearly non existent. I understand the pressure to make money these days but this was criminal. Nevertheless still gave a decent tip, as decent people. No thanks, just more horrendous looks and out we go, never to return
We reserved the upstairs room for a hen party and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were very attentive, despite there being 16 of us and many changes to our orders. They remained calm and cool throughout. All our food came out together, hot and delicious. The staff efficiently sorted out individual prices and were unbelievably calm. They definitely deserved the tip! I would highly recommend this place.
like a few other reviews usually can't fault it but not good at all tonight. one member of staff just seemed if could not be bothered. when tried to ask for a fork ignored me but seen me. no How's your meal? said goodnight and ignored. maybe he was having a bad day? food was surprisingly average usually spot on...meat not the same. just not as good at all compared to previous visits as others same to say
I have been dining at Basmati for a few years and I have never been disappointed. The staff is fantastic and polite, and the service is top-notch. The food is of the highest quality in Wigan. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a great curry night.

The food was delicious and served promptly, but unfortunately, the service was lacking and quite rude. It felt like our presence was a burden, even when ordering. I do not plan on coming back, as there are better Indian restaurants in Wigan.
This is my favourite Indian in wigan.ive been going for the last couple of years it's ultra constant in serving fresh amazing Indian food.the staff Very friendly and offer outstanding customer service.The food speaks for itself

Usually can’t fault the place but today the food was wrong and the service from the front of house was terrible and no apology for mistakes that were made. Really disappointed today

Absolutely wanderful fresh food this is a wandererful place and great service.Book ahead though it is very popular. Highly recommended
