In terms of food, the kids' pasta was decent, but the chicken fingers were a disappointment. My daughter didn't even finish her first bite, as the flavors seemed oddly mixed. On a positive note, the calamari was excellent—well-battered, crispy, and flavorful. For my main dish, I enjoyed the Ahi tuna salad, which featured fresh, high-quality tuna and a delicious dressing. However, the lobster risotto didn't quite live up to expectations; while it looked appealing, it lacked the wow factor and didn't justify its price. Overall, it was just an okay meal. My parents and children didn't enjoy it at all. I'm not sure if I'll return, as I'm more eager to explore other dining options in the area...
I understand that inflation affects us all, but charging $27 for an overcooked rack of ribs and a baked potato is simply unreasonable. While the server and floor manager made an effort to address the problem, the quality of the ribs was truly disappointing; they were lacking in meat and extremely dry. I've had more tender ribs from IGA than what I experienced here. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was both pleasant and clean. The staff did their best to assist with our order and checked on our table frequently.
I had dinner with my family, and we ordered the spinach dip, which was fine, but we received salsa that was spoiled. One of my kids had a burger that was dry, while the other had a Caesar salad that was too oily. My partner and I each had a roast beef sandwich, which were quite bland. The quality has definitely declined from what it used to be, and at that price, I would prefer to go somewhere else.
I returned after a few years and ordered the chicken tenders. They were quite good—tender and crispy. The dijonais sauce is fantastic. The pieces seemed smaller than those at other Bâton Rouges, but the meal was still filling. My mom ordered the 10oz ribs and feels they were better a few years ago in terms of the sauce. This restaurant is amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and super efficient. The ambiance was both cozy and modern. I would go to great lengths for the food—everything we had was outstanding with unexpectedly large portions. It was just so delicious! Overall, the experience was fantastic.
Best restaurant in Baton Rouge! I've visited many others, but none compare to the quality of their food and the exceptional service. This place is outstanding, and I highly recommend it! Cheers!
