I learned about this place because it is the sister restaurant to Bestia, another amazing spot I always try to visit when I’m in LA. the personal and service in bavel was honestly the best I have ever experienced. mentioned I have a food allergy and the house manager personally came out with a paper menu and pointed out to emphasize what would and would not be safe for me to eat! he also explained their cooking processes and chances of cross-contamination for different menu items. I came to Bavel a few weeks back with a group of friends and I immediately understood why this restaurant had so many high praises. Every dish we ordered was surprising and unique, their wine expert was patient and gave us numerous tastings before we ordered a bottle, and the space is gorgeous The dishes came quickly even though the place was absolutely packed and I recommend getting an earlier reservation if you want to make sure they're not out of certain items. Ours was at 10:30pm and they were out of quite a few things which was understandable considering how busy they were! I can't wait to come back and try the things I missed :

visited a week la. bavel was the highlight of my whole trip. extremely tasty dishes with an appetizing presentation. spacious, cozy and non-pretentious facility. friendly and attentive service. we had the trout crudo, deen hummus, chicken liver pate, fried quail, oxtail tagine and donuts deconstructed peach scraper as desserts. everything was finger licking good. Six stars!
the first time here. the place was busy and vribrant, although it was early before dinner. the employees worked effectively with passion, and they are very professional support them on food recommendation. we all love the food we have ordered, in which they were so good that I could not skip anyone from them. we'll be back.
I had a great time here for my birthday. The ambience was beautiful. And the food was so good. What really stood out was the service. From the hosts, to the servers, to the bussers, everyone was really attentive without being overbearing. I would absolutely comb back and try new things on the menu.
