The beef was so tough It was hard to chew. I tried other pieces to be sure that it wasn 't just a portion of the beef that was tough. Tried Korean BBQ for the first time tonight. We relied heavily on our server for her guidance and recommendations to start off. We went with the garlic pork belly, brisket and teriyaki chicken to begin. Our 2nd round we ordered veggies (potato, sweet potato, onion and mushroom), marinated beef and more brisket. Came in from Houston today and BBQ Night was right near our hotel, so we decided to try them out. There was a group of four of us and we all had a great time. The food was delicious, the service beyond excellent (shout out specifically to James, he is amazing! , and the ice cream they serve is sooo good. Hands down one of the best food experiences I've had, and the single best food experience I have had in California. I cannot review the food, as it was not available for takeout, even though it lists on this page. I cannot review the service as 1 person will not be seated, as they are too busy to give a table for 1. I won't be going back as qas suggested, by the rude hostess, as I was only in town for 1 more day, as I have other plans. I do recommend Yummy China across the parking lot. I gave them 14 of 15 stars. The dining room was a bit plain, but very clean. Very polite service, fast preparation of delicious food at Yummy China!
I love this place. There are so many options for KBBQ but for me, I only get brisket. I don't care for all the other meats. I'm here for brisket and ban chan. I used to come here years ago back when it was 22.99 a person and that was a good price. But since then the quality of the meat is mediocre and they price is now $30 per person. Absolutely not worth it. Plenty of other places that are cheaper with better meat and better ambiance.
I went in after my workout and was refused service for a table for one, even though there were plenty of open tables on a Sunday afternoon. Overall, I have to rate the experience poorly: Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.
