This seaside restaurant is consistently excellent. The wait staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. When it comes to the food, the breakfast and lunch selections are diverse and never disappoint. The Greek dressing on the Jim Kelly salad is simply the best—definitely give it a try! Other standout dishes include the pancakes, bacon burger, egg sandwich, and fried pickles served with ranch. If you opt to sit outside, you'll enjoy a lovely breeze and have plenty of opportunities for people-watching, as the restaurant overlooks the busy Flagler Avenue. If you're living in or visiting New Smyrna Beach, this is a must-visit spot for breakfast and lunch!
As we waited for our food, it was clear that this restaurant was a local favorite, with regular customers being greeted by name and having their usual orders remembered by the waitstaff. The prices were fantastic, and the portion sizes were quite generous. My son wanted a buffalo chicken sandwich, so they kindly tossed his tenders in buffalo sauce for him. My main complaint was that the fried mushrooms and onion rings were a little overcooked for our taste. Additionally, they had run out of homemade ranch dressing, so I didn't get to try that. Overall, I was pleased with my experience and would recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
We were so impressed that we decided to return for dinner the following night. I couldn’t resist getting the chicken gyro again since it was so delicious! My husband opted for the seafood platter, which included fish, scallops, oysters, shrimp, and a crab cake—all for just $9.99! He absolutely loved it! We’re looking forward to going back for breakfast tomorrow. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. It has a wonderful local Greek vibe that makes it feel like home. Thank you for a great dining experience!
The Beacon Restaurant was a nice spot for breakfast. It was a long wait but it was expected with all the people waiting to be seated. The staff were very respectful and the service was good. What I mostly enjoyed about this restaurant was the location, with 2 minutes from the beach, we can just get up and go for a walk on the beach. The food was affordable, and pretty good. My parents are regulars at this restaurant, and whenever I visit, it’s always my top choice. Their omelets are incredible! We've never had a bad meal there. We even order takeout to enjoy at the beach. The food is always fresh and has a comforting home-cooked taste. The prices are reasonable too. Martha and the other servers treat my parents like family, which adds to the experience. It's such a wonderful place!
So many places to eat in New Smyrna, but this is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch places. Nice ride from Orlando to enjoy some fresh made food cooked and seasoned perfect. Always a good meal. Staff is friendly and I'm pretty sure they have someone's grandmother in the back making the food. It's nice to be able to walk around the town and enjoy the Ocean views after.
We have been there twice in 2 days. First time for delicious chicken gyro and grilled pork chops. Bought an amazing Greek salad with ham to go. Returned for breakfast and the pancakes were huge and biscuits and gravy best ever. Will be back again. Highly recommend!!!!

I really enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast while sipping on coffee. The veggie omelet was delicious! My daughters ordered chocolate chip pancakes and French toast, and everything was fantastic!
