Great coffee, great ingredients, workers seem friendly enough. I live *on the same block*, 1 minute or less walk, and I still refuse to go here again after many tries. The wait is too crazy and it's unavoidable no matter what you do! I've tried coming first thing in the morning, still waiting a long time. I've tried ordering ahead, still had a long wait because they didn't even put my order in until I showed up. I even tried ordering on an app where I pay ahead and when I showed up they still hadn't put my order in again.
Disappointed in the quality of the lox bagel sando. Needed like 4x the amount of schmear as the bagel had more of a light dusting of cream cheese reminiscent of buttered toast rather than a thick lathered layer. And it was barely toasted. Instead of a crunchy and roasty browned bagel expected of solid shops, it was more the level of a 1/5 on a toaster oven toasting scale. Lastly, expected capers instead of lettuce and arugula that was weird.
What an enjoyable breakfast and coffee spot. So quaint and the best part was that they keep everything so simple yet so delicious. The person working the counter (woman) was absolutely a joy. So kind and she really made my morning! It's the type of place you dream about sitting in on a cold morning, enjoying hot coffee and reading the news. Also, get the lox bagel, trust me!
Went there for breakfast. After waiting for our food we were told they only had 1 bagel (ordered 4). They asked us if the bagels could be substituted for another type of bread. Not happy but agreed. Visited San Francisco for work twice in the past few weeks and stopped at Beanstalk both times. The food, coffee, and service were wonderful both times. Can’t wait to come back
A very cute cafe with an exquisite breakfast menu. The Bush Street Morning Sandwich was perfect: warm and toasty. Their Matcha Latte will also warm your heart.
Actually decent bagels, everything is cooked just to the right level of toast, coffee is balanced for working. A nice, tidy place to read and have a coffee.

Absolutely ridiculous to charge $1 extra for decaf and in general $7 for an iced latte.
