I couldn't resist trying these delicious treats after passing by. First, you choose the "shell," which is a puff pastry with options like green tea and chocolate icing. Then, you select the filling, which is added only when you place your order. I used the kiosk at the front for ordering and payment, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. I opted for the banana brûlée cream puff, which they even torched to caramelize the sugar on top. It also had some bananas, making it quite tasty and creamy. The place was clean, though there are no dine-in tables available yet. Parking was sufficient, although I’m not sure how it is during peak hours.
Some of the best eclairs you 'll have! My brothers love these so much and with good reason. Service is quick and they fill them up fresh with your choice of cream. They do this so they won 't get soggy overtime. Thus, it 's best to eat them pretty quickly within a few hours. We got an assortment of shelled eclairs with the 'buy 5 and get the 6th one free ' deal. My favorite is probably the Strawberry Shortcake or the Oreo. Their classic vanilla cream is so good too and is a favorite for a reason! The green tea filling is tasty as well, but a bit messy! Definitely take extra napkins for these!! Overall, great eclairs with good variety to choose from!
This is my favorite dessert spot in Sawtelle! I love that I can mix and match different fillings and shells. They offer a wide variety of both, which is great. My top recommendation is the Oreo cookie shell with caramel filling, or the crème brûlée. If you store them in the fridge, the cream starts to melt and the shell gets soggy. However, if you keep them in the freezer, they stay fresh longer and don’t get soggy at all. Plus, they taste even better, almost like ice cream! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, too!
Jose and the other female employee were very friendly, and the place was exceptionally clean and well-organized. It had a full selection with every flavor available. I’m not sure what the negative reviewers are on about—they're probably just Karens and Chads. I mean, who gets so worked up over cream puffs? The experience started off poorly with the limited options and unwelcoming staff. To top it all off, they messed up my order. I ended up spending $65 on 19 plain cream puffs with vanilla filling when all I wanted was chocolate. I will never return to this awful location. Beard Papa’s can definitely do better than this! Truly disappointing!
Great place to get puffs. Love the combination and the fact they make them when you order which keeps them fresh for you. We did the special, “buy 5, get the 6th free”. I do think it’s a little pricey but some are worth the price. Didn’t like the churro topping. Liked the matcha and Oreo. Would definitely go back again.
This place is fantastic! I sampled the plain vanilla, crème brûlée, and bananas Foster, and they were all incredibly delicious. The serving sizes are generous; if you're mindful of your figure, you could easily share one, but if you're indulging, it's the perfect dessert for one person!
