While I have been a customer since they opened their first location, this place is no longer number to me. Somewhere along the way the quality went down. I now only visit here for their sweets from time to time if I am in the area. The food is decent but to me does not hold the same great taste it once did. During my recent visit I ordered their swirl chocolate and rainbow cake. It was my first time having it and I throughly enjoyed it. I would order it again. In spite of everything I would still give here a high 4 because if their customer service and good desserts despite their food. Updated from previous review on 2021-05-08
Came a couple months ago on a Friday night super hungry and probably visibly tired. I ended up coming in only to find out they were closed(very sad I was 10 min late) but the person working the cash register was so kind to let me order anyway. I think they had to pull out cookware they had definitely already put away for the night. HIGHLY recommend the mac n cheese and deluxe chicken burger. Queso burger was good but very meaty, probably the chorizo.
I eat here at least once a week. The kale cesar salad has yummy crispy mushroom bacon' bits and maple syrup croutons. The crispy chicky is an oriental style with oranges, fried wonton, almond slices, soy beans, cabbage and tempeh. Both salads have tangy flavorful dressings. The kale artichoke dip is also delicious.
The hot chicken and guacamole burger were quite tasty! However, the fries were disappointing as they lacked flavor and were soggy, tasting old. The macaroni and cheese was decent, but the bacon seemed to taste more like a burnt mushroom. I would consider ordering the sandwiches again, but not the other items.

The staff here were super friendly and helpful. Their fried seitan “chicken” is delicious, including in the Crispy Chicky Salad. The Hot Chicky sandwich was tasty and the cookies are still pretty good. But the fries were bad—lukewarm and mushy. I make better air-baked fries at home. So that part was a bust.
Make sure to try the desserts and mac n cheese at this restaurant. This place is incredible. Everything I tried was fantastic. I loved the beet ketchup so much, I wish I could have it pumped into my bloodstream through an IV.
I came here only after the nish nush was closed after the change of his hours. the falafel packaging was the choice of food, nothing great, but everything in order for a quick eating joint.
The chicken was alright for a vegan option, but wasn't super flavorful. And the fries were soggy and severely undercooked/raw. But the cauliflower and Mac were really delicious :

The falafel wrap has quickly become a favorite of mine! I have already had it twice and this will now be my go-to spot for lunch when I am at the office.
would like to see beatnic offer some more options, including vegan shakes. sometimes the burgers end on the dry side.
