We stayed at the hotel for three nights and dined there each evening. Due to an event on the first night, we had to eat at the brasserie, while on the following two nights we dined at the main restaurant. The ambiance and layout of both dining areas were pleasant, but we found the menu to be quite limited with the same options available at both locations. My wife had to choose the same burger option on the third night as there were not many choices available. The starters were overpriced for the small portions provided, so we opted for a dish from the tapas menu on the last two nights. The staff was friendly, but the experience was not as great as we had expected. We had high hopes, but ended up feeling very disappointed. My starter, the scallops with pork belly, was quite expensive at $26. The scallops were cooked well, but the pork belly was soggy and unpleasant. My husband's starter, the duck, was overcooked and hard to cut. Although I encouraged him to send it back, he didn't want to cause a scene on our special day. Our main courses were also not up to par, with my steak being overcooked and fatty. For dessert, my panna cotta was delicious but disappointingly small. Having stayed at Ellenborough Park Hotel and eaten there on a number of occasions when it has been terrific, I booked a special afternoon tea weeks a head of our booking. With just over a week to go I got a phone call telling me...the hotel was cancelling our booking. The hotel refused to consider offering any discount or other compensation for another booking. They just had a better offer for another booking and seemed not to care how upset I was about their late cancellation.
I thought the food was too bland and I didn’t really enjoy it. I had 3 dishes and only the duck salad was half-way decent. I had had a better meal at a pub the previous night so I was surprised the dishes weren’t better....The staff was attentive and helpful, though.

The restaurant at this fabulous hotel offers beautifully presented and delicious food along with excellent service. The walls are adorned with so much history and intricate detail, adding to the overall dining experience.
A really enjoyable evening with excellent food and faultless service from the team. My children also really enjoyed the food, with one eating off the main menu and one off the Children's menu.
The staff were very good, the food was very good. The prices however are extremely high and frankly not worth the experience. My husband struggled with the menu choices.
We were staying at the hotel. The restaurant was superb with attentive staff and the food selection was wonderful a tapas menu and al la carte everything was 10/10.

we were on a one night break for our wedding anniversary. food was very good although the service a bit on the slow side but good (2 hours for meal)
