This was my first experience with a beavertail, and it was definitely a moment to remember. The crispy, baked pastry was absolutely delightful, surpassing what I anticipated from a donut base. The toppings were incredible and quite sweet, which can be a hit or miss depending on your taste. Nonetheless, it was delicious! I tried the Avalanche and also sampled the Brownie.
This was my first experience with a Beavertail, and I can confidently say it was a WOW moment. The crispy pastry was incredibly delightful—definitely not what I expected, as I thought it would be more like a donut. The toppings were amazing and really sweet, which is a double-edged sword. Still, it was delicious overall. I had the Avalanche and also tried the Brownie.
My only quibble is that eating them feels a bit awkward, to say the least! From what I understand, BeaverTails aren't particularly common across Canada. Perhaps we should embrace the Trudeau way! Delicious thin donut-like consistency beaver tail shaped desserts. You can also elect to go savory with poutine toppings. The girl at the register overcharged us for what we ordered and was slow, but otherwise a fun Canadian dessert to try. Expect a wait, there's been a line every day we've walked by.
Wait a minute, why haven’t I tried this place in Vancouver, BC? I guess Banff has its perks! This is the perfect dessert to enjoy after a delicious meal—just grab a coffee, and you’re all set. We ordered the Bananarama, and it was incredibly tasty, with just the right amount of banana on top.

I wouldn't mind enjoying this dessert every day—it's fresh and delicious! It's quite large, so it can be shared, but you could easily finish it on your own if you wanted a sugar rush. I particularly liked the Nutella flavor; it's basic yet delightful.
The local dessert is quite delicious! However, if they were to offer something more unique than the basics, it might be a bit overwhelming. We shared an apple cake, which was rich and more than enough for us. Overall, it was very enjoyable!
We tried this because it is such a local thing. Tasty, fried bread with toppings so you get just what you order with no real surprises.
