I called and asked if they still had vegan poutines, and the person answering checked with a coworker, so I figured I was safe. I ended up paying $17 for a big poutine made with mozzarella and gravy that has dairy in it, with giant chunks of veggies on it. I called to ask if the cheese was vegan, and they said they only had regular mozzarella. I am from out of town but I visit this restaurant often and always recommend it to anyone stopping in Red Deer. The donairs here are the best. However, on my most recent visit, I was disappointed. The garlic cheese fries I ordered had a strange texture to the garlic sauce, which wasn't as creamy as usual and seemed old and thick. Another person in my group ordered a regular poutine and said the gravy was not the usual kind and was not as good. The worst part was when I received a large Philly cheesesteak pita instead of the small one I had ordered. It was filled with lettuce and tomatoes and was not even edible. Ordered 2 classic poutines today, you would think there would be cheese curds in a classic poutine nope no cheese literally what makes poutine a poutine. Instead was left with disappointing fries and gravy. This is the 3rd time we have ordered from here and it has been sub par. Why do we keep going back? Because their poutine use to be extraordinary, it's gone down hill in the last 6 months and we won't be making the mistake of going back again. I recently visited this restaurant and tried their perogy poutine. It was possibly the best poutine I have ever tasted. Each bite was delightful, and the fries managed to stay perfectly crisp without becoming soggy. The staff at the counter were also very friendly and provided excellent service. I will definitely be returning to this place whenever I get the chance.
I'm sorry to say that our most recent visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The music was incredibly loud, making it necessary to shout at the server and for them to shout back in order to communicate. It was not a pleasant experience.
Donair was so bad I drove back to the store to return it. Sauce was average, neither meat or pita was put on the grill for more than a few seconds.Poutine was average.Wish I could give this place zero stars

The Donair meat was some of the worst we've ever had. The poutine was ok, but we got sick after eating them. This is a fast food for over priced poutine
