We had lunch here after my father's funeral, and I could not have been happier at such a sad time. The food was excellent, the drinks were perfect, not watered down or measured out. All 50 of my guests had nothing but great things to say. The staff was remarkable too. They handled 50 people 9 tables like nothing. Very attentive, extremely accommodating, super happy, and pleasant the entire afternoon. I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but I couldn't let this day of had gone by without giving credit to this wonderful restaurant .
I would give this restaurant a solid 5 stars overall, although we did experience a bit of neglect from some of the waitstaff when we requested extra seasoning for our meals. Eventually, they did bring it to us. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, with a charming Victorian ambiance. The food was also excellent. On one occasion, I visited for my birthday and coincidentally, another patron was celebrating their birthday as well. Overall, I would rate it 4.75 stars.
It was a Wonderful Mothers day. Had reservations for 5pm for 10. A waitress arrived at our table about 45 minutes after being there for drinks. About 20 minutes later they arrived. Long story short 2 hours later our Dinner finally started to arrive one dinner at a time. Horrable service who is running this operation. Not a way to run a business.
Food was okay but the service is very poor. Wait staff are friendly but not well trained. Salad came out after dinner. Bartender unable to make a simple cocktail (a “Manhattan” for $16 was basically whiskey and water). Overheard another table say “This place needs Bar Rescue” in reference to that TV show. Kid-friendliness: The staff is very friendly towards children. Parking: The parking lot beside the building is quite small and accommodates only three cars. There needs to be more space available, and street parking can often be limited.
I haven't visited this place since the pandemic, but it remains one of the best Italian restaurants on Staten Island. The chicken parmesan is outstanding, and the Fettuccine Alfredo is among the best I've ever tasted.
Food was delicious. Haven't been there in a while. Service was great. I had the spicy vodka ricotta gnocchi, it was delicious. Definitely going back
