I haven't been to the restaurant in over 2 years because I think it's absolutely over priced for what it is and have expressed this to my local friend group. They kept saying to go at lunch, it's better, the sandwiches were good. So I decided to finally do it. Well we came at noon and ordered two sandwiches. The woman behind the counter honestly appeared she couldn't care less to be there. Not welcoming, not upbeat, etc. Anyway, we paid and of course there was a tip screen. I'm not sure what I'm tipping. My mom and I visited this restaurant for the first time on August 8th. My mom's experience was not what she expected. I say this because it took quite a while for our food to come. Once it came her sandwich had mayo on it when she asked for it to not have any mayo. The waiter was kind enough to offer to remake her sandwich as well as provide her with a pepperoni roll and cookie while we waited. Even more, they provided her with a full refund of her sandwich due to the error and the wait time. Needless to say, they did not have to do this (nor did she ask for a refund), but they did it anyways. This shows that exceptional customer service still exists. This is the most sophisticated date or special occasion restaurant in Ypsilanti. I've had one or two dinners here that I didn't love, but last night, my whole party loved the meals, including dessert. The perch I had was perfection. My friends loved their vegetable curry, and we all enjoyed the bread pudding w whipped cream dessert. The menu changes often, if not daily. While hard-core foodies might notice errors on some things, like not detaching the oyster from the shell, it's still a place one can get oysters in Ypsi that taste good. The atmosphere is terrific. The service last night was perfect. Be prepared for a big bill, but sometimes it is worth it to have a fancy evening out.

Quirky little place with a modern, clean vibe. You order your lunch at the counter, take a number, then they bring your meal to you. Drink selections are limited to canned or bottled choices or wine/beer/cocktails. We had the Italian sandwich and salad with deep fried tofu and both were delicious.
