I unexpectedly encountered this restaurant while checking out the neighborhood. Once I saw the menu I was excited. I ordered the veal schnitzel with mashed potatoes and veggies. It originally came with fries but I have a personal vendetta against them. Anyway, the schnitzel was excellent and the mashed potatoes were just that, mashed potatoes, however, the gravy was excellent. Problem is two-fold. #1 The knife was too thick too thick to fit through the tines of the fork. That drives me crazy I hate that, you cannot cut the meat and #2 the veggies were obviously sautéed in oil, a lot of oil. There was so much oil leaching from the veggies I had to put a napkin under one side of my plate to ge...
At the end of our holiday we stayed a few days in Sydney. The best place according to Tripadvisor closed down, but we ran into Belloccio and Mama Collin☺. Obvious a very gay restaurant but Mama Collin just touched the right strings to make us (2 m/f couples) feel comfortable. Wine was byo so we bought it down the street. Starters we let Mama Collin decide and we for sure did not regret this. Mains were just good pastas. Tasty and good portions. Altogether we really can recommend Belloccio.Only thing strange: On the outside it claims to be Italian. Decor (and music) on the inside is mainly greek. Food is a mix of both.
Obwohl ich lokal lebe und diesen Ort regelmäßig passiere, und sehe es voller Menschen, ich zögere, Beloccocio zu probieren, da Oxford St oft stark auf "Thema" ist, aber arm bei der Lieferung. Even though I live locally and regularly pass this place and see it full of people, I was reluctant to try Belloccio as Oxford St is often strong on 'theme' but poor on delivery. Tonight we gave Bellocio a try and we had a really wonderful time. The food we fantastic, the service was excellent and the ambience was just great.
It's a mix of Greek and Italian served by Thai and aussie twinks. Easy on the stomach and the eyes.
Highly recommend this place for a good night out for for dinner.

My partner and I stopped in here tonight and were surprisingly impressed with the service and the food. They have a limited list of wines that the bottle shop bring over when ordered, what a great touch! Want something different? They allow BYO as well.

What a fabbo place. Went there with my partner for a birthday surprise. I phoned ahead to book and requested a romantic corner, which was all arranged when we arrived. Great food and service and if you'd like to BYO, there's a bottle shop opposite, and they'll deliver to your table! A perfect night for us, great food, great service, great atmosphere.
