My family and I have been going to the Bengal for years and it NEVER disappoints. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is always brilliant and is cooked to order, and the prices are good too. We were lucky enough to be there on Sunday when, unbeknown to us when booking, all food is 50% off when dining in which was a very welcomed surprise! This deal was available another day of the week too. We went with kids and the staff were very accommodating of them getting extra (cold! plates for their food. I recently dined at this establishment for dinner, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding, earning a solid 5 out of 5. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was also quite good, receiving a score of 4; the staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the meal, also scoring a 4, with a pleasant setting that made for a nice ambiance. The cost per person was reasonable at around £20–30. I would definitely recommend this place for a delightful dining experience!
Beware of the container charge at the end of the bill if you decide to take food home. This wasn’t explained to us as we ate most of the food and decided to take some home and then wanted to charge us £16 for container charge, this was then reduced to £4 and that’s £1 each container after a conversation with the waiter and then the manager. The most expensive Indian restaurant I've ever dined at! My partner and I visited on Friday night and chose to share a curry. We ordered 3 poppadoms, 1 curry, 1 rice, 1 naan, 1 portion of chips, and 2 beers, and it came to over £39! Absolutely outrageous! Where I live, the same amount of food would only cost £17. We visited this lovely restaurant twice and had a wonderful experience each time. The manager, Khan, is extremely attentive and friendly, as is the entire staff. The food is full of flavor and always served hot! There's a great selection on the menu. We will definitely be back!
