I usually enjoy the food at Berc's, but I was disappointed with my experience last night. The Calamari appetizer was good, but slightly overcooked. The French onion soup was lukewarm and although it tasted good, it was not served hot. My Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare, but the button mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes were extremely salty. The bearnaise sauce was also very thick and salty. The service, however, was excellent and our waiter was very professional. I didn't want to send any food back as we were with a large group. Overall, the food was disappointing considering the price. The food was fabulous, I wish I had known the name of our server but I didn't recognize the wines that they had but he patiently gave me samples of some which I did not care for, until I tried their house wine, that was the best one! (sorry I made you go back forth but I hope the tip I gave you made up for it! It was a wonderful meal and even better an excellent waiter. Bravo! The prices are high but we knew that and wanted an excellent meal which we both enjoyed. Thank you!
The tomato Parmesan soup was lovely, and our server Heather did a fantastic job. The steak was fine, but my husband wasn’t overly impressed by it as it came more medium than medium-rare. He was a little disappointed, since steak is their speciality. I got the chicken yakatori and was pleased with it. They also gave us some dessert as an extra since we were celebrating, which was a very thoughtful touch! It’s a lovely atmosphere and the servers were very attentive.
My husband and I celebrated our 51st anniversary at this restaurant with another couple. The food was amazing, especially the Rib Eye steaks. They offer a fixed menu on Tuesdays for $85 per couple, and we added a couple of extra dishes. We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary dessert of chocolate mousse from the chef. A great dining experience! If in the area and want to treat yourself, Bercs will not disappoint. Comfy cozy atmosphere, well lit and very clean. Service was excellent and paid attention to dietary requirements. Food was 5 star!! Delicious through the very last morsel. Steak cooked a perfect medium rare. Vegetables had a nice bite. Mussels in chili cream sauce appetizer was to die for. Would recommend
Dinner was a bit of a disappointment this evening. I took a friend to my fav restaurant and not great.Long black hair in butter, Onion Soup tasted like it was hot water with beef bouillon powered, way to salty.Karen was an excellent server.It will be awhile before I go back. Sorry Berc’s.
Excellent. We went there for our 49th anniversary and were very happy with everything. Our waitress (Heather) was amazing, the food very good and atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend it. We had the bacon wrapped filet mignon from the special dinner menu, yummy.
Oh my goodness! What a gem in Peterborough! From the moment we walked in until we left, the service was amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful, but the food! So yummy! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The staff at Berc's is very attentive and wonderfully accommodating. The food was outstanding and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend visiting Berc's. Their cheesecake was one of the best I have ever had.
