Wir gingen ins Restaurant, um einen Burger und einen vegetarischen Burger zu essen. Wir wurden von den Kellnern schnell mit den Getränken bedient, allerdings betrug die Wartezeit auf das Essen über eine Stunde. Die Kellner rannten wie verrückt umher, niemand wusste, was wir bestellt hatten, wie lange es noch dauern würde und niemand kam innerhalb einer Stunde an unseren Tisch, obwohl wir versuchten, ihre Aufmerksamkeit zu erregen. Ich musste mit dem Manager sprechen und nach dem Status unserer Bestellung fragen, um schließlich das Essen zu bekommen. Als es ankam, stellte sich heraus, dass wir statt des vegetarischen einen Beef-Burger bekamen und der Kellner war sich nicht einmal sicher, was...
The weather was great and the terrace of the newly opened Eggli restaurant is south facing so the location is hard to beat. Being the first day of the season 18/12, the placed was full so we booked 11:30. That was smart because we got our food relatively fast. After that it was downhill: poor service, extremely long waiting times, waiters who didn’t know the menu and very impersonal. The restaurant needs to dramatically improve the service to defend the price level. “Preis/Leistung” is just not there!
Newly reconstructed and re-opened after two years, and it looks like an airport departure lounge restaurant. While there was scope for smartening up the old restaurant and pushing it upmarket, the result is boring, anonymous and utterly without mountain charm . On the plus side, the food was good and the service was impeccable. The owners need to redecorate the place asap.. Model it on the fromagerie in the Palace and you won’t go too far wrong.
This has become a pompous restaurant with a arrogant maître who asks you to wait for a table even if the place is totally empty. Come on, bring back the good atmosphere of the old mountain restaurant and keep the pompousness for the club upstairs!
