Today was a terrible day for Bertuccis in Andover. Not sure if the other extremely disappointed patrons will also comment but I will. Brought my family in for a late lunch, no one else in the restaurant except a few coming in for pickups. Ordered two adult meals, a kids pizza and two kids chicken meals. See attached for pics of kids chicken meal. I didn't take a picture of the personal pizza but it was even worse. One guy who waited patiently for his very delayed takeout, informed the staff that his pizza wasn't even cooked! Anyrate, after waiting 1:15 for our meals, we switched them To-Go. I've loved Bertucci's for years since I'm from MA and yes, I know it's a chain but that never really bothered me. We came here one cold, rainy night on our last night in MA and it hit the spot. If only you knew how bad the pizza is in CA, then you would understand that pizza from Bertucci's in MA hits the spot for us. We got aracine di fontina to start, a few pizzas for the adults and two kids pizzas for our kids. We couldn't finish it and ended up taking it to our hotel with us. However, the bread with the olive oil was really comforting after a long travel day from Vermont. It also helped that service was good too.
Had a great experience here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, although everyone was very busy. Our server was on the point and the manager was nice enough to make the ravioli of my daughter new when we forgot to order her without sauce. It wasn't a big deal, but it kept the crash under control until we came home. Small wins and Andover won in our book! Thank you.
A wonderful location! We ordered the Chicken Picatta and found out that they were the recipe IMPROVED. They now use fresh chicken and bread in the house. Moist, delicious, only heavenly! And Alex took care of my family and paid special attention to the children. 10!
