I've been a fan of Bertucci's for years since I'm originally from Massachusetts. Yes, I know it's a chain, but that has never really bothered me. We visited on a cold, rainy night during our last evening in the state, and it was exactly what we needed. If only you understood how terrible the pizza is in California, you would realize why Bertucci's in Massachusetts is such a treat for us. We started with the arancini di fontina and ordered a few pizzas for the adults, along with two kids' pizzas for our children. We had so much food that we couldn’t finish it and ended up taking some back to our hotel. The bread with olive oil was also a comforting touch after a long travel day from Vermont....
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, despite being quite busy. Our server was attentive, and the manager was kind enough to make a new batch of ravioli for my daughter when we realized we forgot to order hers without sauce. It may have seemed like a small issue, but it helped keep things calm until we got home. Small wins like this really made a difference, and we definitely consider it a success! Thank you!
After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes for our meals, we decided to switch to takeout. It then took another 20 minutes. The food was subpar, the service was slow, and it felt like no one cared. I believe the person who appeared to be the manager didn’t address the frustrations or complaints from several customers. I understand that staffing can be a challenge these days, but this was an exceptionally poor experience.
Today was the wrong day to come over for lunch. Ok, it is a school half day Friday and there is one server in the whole place. Waited 10 minutes for water and rolls Two cooks and one person cleaning tables (not serving) Where is the Manager????? Nowhere to be seen. Extremely poor shift scheduling. Feel sorry for the server as he was doing his best to keep the place running.

During the peak of the pandemic I order from their location in Berlin, CT and the food was great. I ordered from them the other day and was very disappointed! I ordered lasagna and it was the worst I have ever tasted. It was just pasta with ricotta cheese and NO MEAT. The pan was half full. It also arrived cold. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
A fantastic location! We ordered the Chicken Piccata and discovered that the recipe has been IMPROVED. They now use fresh chicken and house-made bread. It was moist, delicious, and simply heavenly! Alex took great care of my family and gave special attention to the kids. A solid 10!
Horrible experience. Ordered takeout. It was ready quickly and now I know why. Fake chicken, little to no sauce, broccoli or capers on our 2 dinners. All I can say is you need someone who knows how to cook appetizing food. Simply terrible food
The service at this restaurant is absolutely terrible.... didn't bring us rolls unless we asked, never asked..... never got salad dressing with my salad until I asked and it took 15 minutes to get and it wasnt even busy never coming again

We ordered a large soaked red pepper eggplant, but we received a hot peppers eggplant instead. It wasn't clear until we took a bite! If it's spicy, then it’s a tasty pizza... the second pizza arrived as expected... lol.
It was great to have this restaurant in town while it lasted. We consistently enjoyed good takeout and had satisfactory dining-in experiences. Unfortunately, this location is now closed.
